Bamburi Cement Price in Kenya — Bulk Rates
Bamburi offers three grades for different applications. Here is the current pricing and how to get the best rates on bulk orders.
By Safeworld Technical Desk

Bamburi is one of Kenya's oldest cement manufacturers and produces three distinct product lines targeted at different market segments. Understanding the pricing structure and when to use each grade is key to optimizing your project budget.
Bamburi Tembo (General Purpose)
Tembo is the general-purpose grade, suitable for masonry, plaster, screeds, and non-structural concrete. It's the most economical option and the highest volume seller for homebuilders and small contractors. Current bagged pricing sits at KSh 780 per 50kg bag, with pallets (1,260 bags) at competitive rates when ordered in volume.
Bamburi Nguvu (Structural)
Nguvu is the structural-grade cement for load-bearing elements like foundations and columns. It develops higher early strength and offers better durability in challenging conditions. Pricing is typically 8–12% higher than Tembo, reflecting its enhanced performance specifications.
Bamburi Powermax (Premium)
Powermax is the premium offering, formulated for rapid strength gain and specialized applications. It commands a premium price but is ideal for projects on tight schedules where early formwork removal is needed.
Bulk Ordering & Discounts
For quantities above 50 tonnes, Safeworld offers direct pallet pricing and can arrange site delivery. Tanker loads (26 tonnes pneumatic tankers) are available for projects requiring large quantities of loose cement, with per-tonne rates 15–20% lower than bagged purchases. Minimum order: 5 tonnes. Delivery across Kenya is available with transit times of 24–48 hours depending on location.
Pro tip: If your project spans multiple weeks, split your order into smaller deliveries to manage cash flow without sacrificing bulk-rate pricing.
